PHOTOS: WEDDING FEATURES: Tom + Susan | Portland, Oregon

Sometimes you marry your high school sweetheart, sometimes it can take you 50 years to find your true love or sometimes you can meet and fall in love while celebrating at someone else’s wedding. And that’s exactly how Susan and Tom met. It always amazes me how our paths can cross in life. For these two, their crossing was meant to be.

Tom and Susan are great friends of ours and at their wedding, I felt more like a groomsman than a photographer. And for that, I am very thankful. We spent the weekend with them as friends and photographers, from their rehearsal dinner to their intimate and incredibly fun wedding. Susan is Jewish and it was wonderful to see her and Tom’s two worlds meet at the wedding. We felt honored to witness their Ketubah signing, which had Lindsay in tears, and we had a blast dancing the Hora with the entire family at the reception. It was seriously the most fun we’ve had at a wedding in a long time!

The wedding was held at an amazing venue, Gorge-ous Weddings. Jennie Streitberger is not only one of their best friends but also an expectational event coordinator and owns a bridal boutique in town. She coordinated the wedding and Susan looked stunning in a dress from her shop.
